Due to change in circumstance, I am selling my Datsun 510 - LHD . Engine has been upgraded to 1600cc/twin carbs; features 5speed dogleg gearbox. Body and interior are stock with no modifications. Body is very straight and will need attention to rear arches and rear tail light panel. As I was planning a full restoration with the plan of turning into a show car, I sourced the following repair panels (from all over the world !) which will be sold with the car as a package.
1 pair of complete rear quarter panels - c pillar onwards in superb condition
4 rust free doors, complete with door cards, glass and new rubbers
1 complete rear tail light panel. The repair panels have set me back over £1500 alone...
Its a 1971 model (80000kms), fitted with a L16 from a SSS model with twin Hitachi SU carbs and 5 speed dogleg pattern gearbox.
Front and rear Brakes have recently been overhauled as required for MOT
Front bushes replaced
Brand new 3 piece clutch fitted, less than 100km ago
I was going to do a top end restoration on the car and have sourced the following panels which come as package
2 rear quarters
4 complete doors inc door cards, mechanisms, glass etc
I Tail light repair panel
The car has rusty rear arches and tail light panel. I was going to replace the rear end completely hence the parts.
The boot is messy but not rusty- someone probably painted it black sometime ago and an attempt has been made to remove the black coating. Boot floor is solid. Bootlid is also in very good condition.
Engine bay and front suspension mounting area is all solid with no repairs visible, bonnet is good nick and useable.
The chromework is all straight and bright- areas around windscreens is rust free as well.
Interior is all complete but in need of a good clean, The seats will need a good wash with warm soapy water and will clean up perfect. Dash is not cracked at all and all instruments work. Rear speaker shelf will need covering .
The car on the whole is a honest car and was bought from the original owner just 2 years ago, hence it has not been through multiple repairs.
