Hi All,
It?s my intention to drive the Sanremo rally end of September.
Roads that seems to be made for racing. Those close to the Riviera dei Fiori (Flowers? Riviera) are exactly like this. Generations of drivers that have been taking part in Rallye Sanremo knows it, as well as thousands of fans that year after year, used their vacations and wore out their shoes to be in the front row at Monte Ceppo, Langan or Teglia stages?
The mountain passes close to the Ligurian coast are renowned among the ?rally people?. San Romolo, Andagna, Pigna, Molini di Triora: marks on maps became cult places, even on the other side of the Alps. Therefore Reinhard Klein, poet of racing photography, had the idea to propose a kind of pilgrimage through the valleys and the mountain passes were rally champions wrote the history of rallying. There will be cars with an important past: Datsun 240Z, Porsche 911, MG Metro 6R4, Mercedes 500 SLC, Peugeot 205 Turbo 16 and of course different Lancias, from Stratos, to 037 and Delta Integrale.
Approximately twenty collectors responded to his call, so from September 27th to 29th they will 'parade' along the special stages of the 49th Rallye Sanremo. Not at the double obviously, but they will warm up hearts.
To be exact:
Thursday September 27th 8,00 hrs to 12,00 Scrutineering at P.le ex Stazione FFSS
11,00 hrs to 15,00 tests with verified racing cars, location San Romolo
